Hebron

Hebron

A Community Working Together.

The first settler to Hebron was Judge Jesse Johnson. The area of Hebron was an open prairie interspersed with small groves of trees. The prairie was about 2.5 miles long by 0.75 miles wide. About 0.5 miles south was the Potawatomi village of Hauakiki. Locally the village was called "Indian Town."

The area chosen for settlement was referred to as "The Corners" as this was where two roads crossed. Hebron was laid out in 1841. In 1845, Rev. Blain of the Hebron Church of Associate Reform Presbyterians petitioned for a post office named after his church. The post office was established that year and the town got its name.

Hebron Schools

WE BELIEVE: Students are our number one priority. In the value of diversity. Each student is a valued individual capable of learning. Learning is a lifelong process. A safe and healthy environment is conducive to learning. In the worth of educators as recognized professionals. Personal and professional growth enhance student learning. Education is the shared responsibility of the student, parents, school, and community. Students must be accountable for their behaviors and decisions. Twenty‐First Century Learning Skills foster career/life‐readiness. Students must practice and demonstrate the skills necessary to transition successfully from school to work. Technology is vital to the educational process.
